The Secret is Not New
Everyone is talking about the book and DVD titled “The Secret”! “The Secret” which has been talked about on Oprah, Larry King and other talk shows, is supposed to teach how to be successful in life and endeavors! However, religion and spirituality have claimed to offer ” The Secret ” to anyone willing to follow their teachings. There have been many studies about how spirituality affects mental, physical and financial well-being of life. Some studies
have indicated that being spiritual have lowered blood pressure, lowered cholesterol and even healed the sick!
The Secret is very timely for the times we live in with technology, materialism and prosperity at the forefront of our lives. Sometimes we have at one time or another, stopped to search for a deeper meaning and purpose of our being, or happiness! The Secret’s popularity seems to be a quest for deeper understanding and spiritual connection of ourselves to make us complete and better for all. This seeking will improve all aspects of our life from health to happiness! To quote Jesus, “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need.”(Matthew 5:3)

Thank You for the comment Joseph, but there are many translations of the bible. Perhaps Romans 8:6 may be more suited, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
