Just when you thought that this 2008 political season in America couldn’t get any more twisted, Scott McClellan, former White House Press Secretary for the President, unleashed his memoir today, “What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception”.
In his memoir, Scott McClellan says President George Bush used propaganda on the American public in order to justify going to war in Iraq. Scott is not just any regular government employee of the White House, he has worked with George Bush since Bush was a Texas Governor seeking the Presidency, so information in his book has a bit more credibility.
President Bush’s response to these steamy White House insider secrets, was that he was “surprised” and “disappointed” by the tone of the book when he was told about it, says current White House Press Secretary, Dana Perino.
